19 Steps To Screwing Up Your Career
Tue Feb 16, 2010, 12:08 AM | | Posted in Careers Advance
Sital Ruparelia has an article on his career management blog. The title of the article is 19 Steps To Screwing Up Your Career. That’s good and dandy. All steps he mentioned are good steps to avoid. However, I think he missed the biggest step to screw up your career and that is to keep working for a manager who is nothing but an asshole of the extreme kind.
No matter how good you work, as long as that bitch or her son is your manager, you can never do good. You can never advance in your career. There is no appreciation for the job well done. No nothing. Zilch.
Sometimes, you wonder what the f*** you are working there for. You get headaches on a constant basis. You become so grouchy, when you get home, your wife and your kids can’t even talk to you anymore. The f***** bitch or the SOB go home at the end of the day not thinking at all they are screwing up someone’s career. They are probably so satisfied in what they do and their senior managers are so satisfied with their subordinates, they get promoted all the time.
In a Nutshell
The only way to avoid screwing up you career by working for an asshole is to get the hell outta there. Either get yourself transferred to another group or find another job. Remember, it’s not worth a dime to work for an asshole. An asshole can come in both genders in the form of a bitch or son of a bitch. But no matter what gender they are, you would see an asshole, period.
