These days, it seems that I read a lot. I just finished reading a book called How to Get Out of Debt, Stay Out of Debt and Live Prosperously.
For those people who have lived in debt, in some cases, probably, lots of it, and want to get out and just stay out forever, this is a book to read.
But please! Do yourself a favor. Don’t just read it, follow it on a step-by-step basis.
The author, Curtis E. Arnold, says that his methodology is based on the proven principles and techniques of debtors anonymous.
My family and I have been living debt free since we moved to the States in the seventies. Except for mortgage, we don’t owe anyone any money. We pay our credit card bill by the end of the month and we buy what we need.
The book is in paperback and the price is around 10 bucks. The knowledge you gain from it is just unbelievable. But like I said, you must follow its step-by-step techniques to really be of some value to you. No matter how many books and articles you read, its your mindset that will help you.
In a Nutshell
If you are married and have kids, do it for them. Leave something for them that they can be proud of, proud of their mom and dad. You gotta start sometime. Why not make it now. Now is the time as any. The sooner, the better.
